The expression of personhood is analogous to the rotation of a hyperdimensional polytope. The “self” is not linear or ontologically static, but rather expressed in a multidimensional geometry that is fleetingly revealed in fragments.
Each moment of awareness samples one facet of a comprehensive polychoronic whole. The whole is elusive and imperceivable, yet is still perceptible. Exposure to the facets of an individual will slowly enable an observer to build a perception of the individual’s hyperdimensional geometry, which is a more encompassing grasp of the individual’s personhood.
The full shape can never be thoroughly comprehended, even by the individual’s own perception. However, the vertices of the known fragments can imply the existence of the unknown; exempli gratia, if emotions can drive action and I am capable of being angry, then I am therefore capable of acting angrily, even to extremes that have heretofore been unexplored personally.
Circumspectly, it is prudent to consider birth and death as subtle motivators in any individual’s actions, as these are two universally human facets with steadfast resolve. Foreknowledge of a cube’s geometry suggests the whole volume is situated between two opposing faces; the same can be said for human-beings with the facets of birth and death.
I don’t believe consciousness of the Lesser Order of Appetencies can overtly utilize the two opposing facets of birth and death as motivators. Rather, they blindly strive to maintain their polychoronic volume, id est, stay alive; inadvertently reducing the initial and ultimate facets of living to subtle motivators.
The maintenance of the polychoronic volume whilst agnostic to the opposing facets of birth and death is definitively the persistence of self; an ontologically static understanding of personhood. Awareness of hyperdimensional dispersion is necessary for a comprehensive perception of personal geometry, which begins with acknowledgement of the due bounds of the first and last breath.
